About Mr. P. V. Swami
Mr. P. V. Swami is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with over 11 years of combined teaching and industrial experience. He holds an M.E. in Heat and Power Engineering and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in biodiesel, oxygenated fuel additives, and CRDI diesel engine optimization. His teaching interests include Design Thinking, Fluid Machinery, Applied Thermodynamics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and CAD/CAM. He has published 8 research papers, including 3 Scopus-indexed publications, authored an international book on alternative fuels, and holds 15 published design patents. He actively contributes to institutional development as the SPOC for NPTEL, Wadhwani Foundation, CMYKPY, ED Cell Coordinator, and BYST Mentor. His research focuses on sustainable energy, IC engines, emission control, and innovative engineering solutions that promote academic excellence and industry-oriented learning.
